Does Field Manager support "offline mode"?You cannot use Field Manager directly without an internet connection, but you can export your data to KML/KMZ to view your locations in google earth when you know you will have poor internet connection.

Do I need to install a desktop app for Field Manager?No, there is no need to install anything on your computer to. Field Manager has been built as a web-application from the very beginning and is therefore tailored for the flexibility and speed this enviroment offers.

What are the different user-roles in Field Manager?There are 3 user roles in Field Manager, but we separate between projects and organizations. For organizations you can be: Admin Viewer For projects you can be: Admin Editor Viewer The difference between them is mainly that you have to be an Admin or an Editor to upload data into a project.

What is the duration of a Field Manager license subscription?All subscriptions last for 12 months with automatic renewal.

How does the subscription model work?Your company pays a yearly or monthly fee, which gives full access to a defined amount of personal users with editor and admin privileges.

What is the difference between the different subscription tiers?The difference is primarily in the number of allowed users with Editor and/or Admin rights. The highest tier gives unlimited access to your company. Contact us for more information.

Can I give access to external users?Of course! Field Manager is all about sharing. You can invite as many Viewers as you want from other companies into your project. Viewer can view and download/export data, but are not allowed to upload anything into the platform.

Can I give access to external users as Editors?No, the license agreement is with your company, and only employees in your company can be Editor or Admin users.

Where is my Field Manager data being stored?Your Field Manager data is currently stored in Microsoft Azure's data Center in Norway.

Will Field Manager be available in other Data Regions?We are definitely open to offer Field Manager in other Data Regions. Please get in touch and we can discuss your needs.

Who owns the data stored in Field Manager?NGI and the Field Manager team does not own any of the data stored in the platform by our Field Manager clients. Data ownership other than that is something you have to discuss with your clients or data suppliers.

Who can access my data in Field Manager?Only users with Editor or Admin rights can import, view and export data in all your projects, and these roles need to be defined for each project. You also decide who has Viewer rights for each projects. Viewers can view and export data from a project.

My internal IT department wants to see a security policy for Field Manager. Do you have something like that?Sure! Data security is extremely important to us. Contact us and we will provide you with what you need.

What happens to my data if I decide to stop using Field Manager?All your data is available through the Field Manager API for you to export whenever you need. If you're not sure how to use an API, our dev team will help you out.

Does Field Manager integrate with GeoSuite?Not directly, but we have SND, PRV and GVR import and export.

Which file formats does Field Manager support?We believe that the most efficient way of exporting data from Field Manager is though our API, but we have built-in support for some file formats as well: You can currently import locations and methods as KOF, CSV, XLS/XLSX, SND, AGS and GVR. You can currently export the location data as DXF, KOF, GeoJSON, XSLX, CSV, KMZ/KML, SND, PRV and GVR. You can also export your original raw-data files.

Does Field Manager integrate with ESRI or QGIS?Our API has a specific GIS endpoint which enables easy integration of Field Manager data to GIS.

Does Field Manager provide an API?Yes! All your data in Field Manager is available through our API, which is completely open for our clients.
